• When positioned directly above the two cables (common and valve wire), you will hear minimal to no signal, indicating the NULL point.
• To detect the signal, move the receiver’s antenna perpendicular to the wires, a few inches away from the NULL point.
• Slowly trace along the path of your wires, maintaining a distance of 6-8 inches perpendicular to them.
• Pay close attention to the NULL location, identified by the absence of a signal directly above both wires.
• Follow the path of the NULL between the two loudest points, adjusting the receiver as necessary.

Valve Detection:

• As you traverse over a solenoid, the NULL signal diminishes, and the signal becomes continuous and louder.
• This indicates the presence of a valve within approximately a 12” radius from the detection point.

Usage Tips:

• Ensure the transmitter is properly connected to the wires of the irrigation system.
• Maintain a steady and deliberate pace while tracing the wires to accurately identify the signal.
• Adjust the receiver antenna sensitivity as needed for optimal signal detection.
