My Story
The Chat-R-Box was invented in the HOT Texas summer of 2013. A portion of my yard had turned brown and I figured it must be something wrong with a lawn valve. For the next 2 weeks before and after work, when it was not as HOT, I poked the ground in numerous locations, dug holes with a sharp shooter shovel leaving "goffer" holes all over the yard.

I searched and searched the internet for answers. I found my options were either pay an irrigation tech ($1250-$150/hour x 2 hours = $250-$300 minimum) or buy a very expensive valve locator ($800-$1,000).

Being a DIY'er anda background in electronics I realized I could use a circuit which would make the valve(solenoid) chatter. I assembled a prototype from  parts from a previous project then I tested my creation, and it worked.

After having seen many different blog post with others experiencing the same problem. I designed a small box for the circut and made the instructions simple (K.I.S.S).  I made a small test batch to sell on the internet and the rest is history.
